Garth Brazelton is the COO of KSM Location Advisors, part of the Katz, Sapper & Miller Network. As part of the executive team, Garth directs the practice’s strategic initiatives, including client management, social media and lead generation. Garth also works closely with the client service and compliance teams to ensure efficiency of processes and systems.
Previously, Garth was director of operations and business systems for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). In this role, Garth was engaged in a breadth of work, including project and contractual negotiations, research and data strategy management, incentives and compliance reporting and analysis, and streamlining of the state’s accounts management practices, procedures, forms and systems. Garth successfully led the effort to onboard a completely new account management system with a 200%-plus ROI. Also during his tenure with the IEDC, Garth advised its business development and account management teams in closing and managing more than 1,000 economic development projects.
Garth received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Purdue University and a Master of Arts degree in economics from Indiana University. He has successfully completed all coursework to fulfill the requirements for the Economic Development Institute, accredited by the International Economic Development Council.
Garth serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Central Indiana and the Mill 9-1 homeowners association in downtown Indianapolis. He has been an active participant with the Indiana Economic Development Association, and has also worked with the Pew Charitable Trusts and the Center for Regional and Economic Competitiveness on incentives best practices.
