About Heather

PROFILE

Heather Judy is a director of compliance services for KSM Location Advisors. She leads the compliance services team, which manages tax credits, training grants, and property tax abatements on behalf of clients through the United States. Heather’s deep knowledge and understanding of complicated incentive programs is the reason KSM Location Advisors clients realize 97% of the incentives their performance qualifies them for.

In addition to her role with KSM Location Advisors, Heather is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s State and Local Tax Group. She has extensive compliance expertise in the areas of property tax, multistate sales and income taxes, and other state taxes. Heather also serves as a liaison on KSM’s government consulting projects, providing solutions based on the needs and requirements of various governmental agencies and departments.

Prior to joining KSM Location Advisors, Heather worked for six years at Ernst & Young. While there, her experience included audit and assurance, general tax compliance, and property tax compliance.

EDUCATION

Heather received Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and computer information systems from Indiana University. She also has a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Virginia. Heather is a Level III Appraiser and has received her Indiana Tax Representative certification.

ASSOCIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Heather is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. Additionally, she serves on the board of Carmel High Outstanding volunteers Assembled to Inspire, Organize, & Nuture (OVATION). Heather volunteers in multiple capacities with her children’s school activities and with her church. She also volunteers with Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana on a regular basis.
