Jennifer Erner has been honored as an Outstanding Volunteer Award recipient by Susan G. Komen Central Indiana. The award honors an individual who – though not a breast cancer survivor – is steadfast, passionate, dependable, dedicated, available, and overall has made exceptional contributions to the mission of Susan G. Komen Central Indiana.
Fueled by the passing of her best friend and college roommate, who lost her battle to breast cancer at age 30, Erner began serving as a Komen volunteer seven years ago. For six of those seven years she has been a member of the Pink Honor Roll, which is comprised of the top 100 individual fundraisers for the Indianapolis Race for the Cure. She has also served on the Pink Tie Ball Committee and grant review panel.
Erner is an executive assistant with KSM Location Advisors and plays a critical role in ensuring the overall organization of the team – from addressing client inquiries to tracking local tax deadlines. It’s no surprise that her passion and servant leadership would carry over to her volunteer commitments.
Erner, along with other award recipients, was recognized at the Susan G. Komen Central Indiana Pink Ribbon Celebration March 9.
