A company involved in the region’s largest industrial projects will double the size of its headquarters, moving to a former Procter & Gamble research and production site in Blue Ash.
Ohio Valley Electrical Services Inc. March 27 acquired nearly 8 acres on the east side of Reed Hartman Highway for $3 million.
The acreage forms the southern part of what was P&G’s Sharon Woods Innovation Center prior to its demolition in 2023.
Ohio Valley Electrical Services will construct a 70,000-square-foot headquarters building to house its team of 201, as well as an additional 40 the firm expects to hire in the coming years, according to Chief Financial Officer Tim Kelley.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority April 27 approved a seven-year, 1.266% Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
The new roles will generate an estimated $2.88 million in new annual payroll, or roughly $72,000 per new employee.
The firm will relocate from its current headquarters in a 31,000-square-foot building on Cornell Road, about a quarter mile south of the project site. It has occupied the site through a lease since 2011. In that time, it has carried out three separate expansions, the most recent in 2021, when it added a warehouse.
